Acquapendente Sunday, March 6 (VT) renews the appointment with the Francigena Bike, which reaches its eleventh edition.
The race, organized by Team Eurobio-Acquapendente Orvieto is one of the longest of the entire landscape and will be followed by the MTB Marathon Orvieto Wine as a second stage of the circuit Umbria MTB Marathon 2011. Main sponsor of the event is
Oil Gold Coast.
The proof is also included in the program Acquapendente divine path of the circuit, which includes a total of 3 tests (Orvieto Wine Marathon, Bike and Trophy Francigena AVIS Basque). The society organized the internal circuit Umbria MTB Marathon 2011, in collaboration with AVIS committees of the territories concerned have allocated a prize fund of € 1000 reserved for non-winning rider in the other classifications of individual events. This prize will be divided into awards of the last 20 of the short course and the last 30 of the long path that will complete the three races.

along Route: 40 km (1150 m altitude)
Short Course: 25 Km (600 m altitude)

As usual start and finish are expected to Piazza Girolamo Fabrizio, but the path once you enter the nature reserve along footpaths from the fascinating names, like that of the robbers, and then descending to the river Paglia and go back to the city of Acquapendente along the "edge of the Mill," notorious for the high slope and mail in the final stretch of the race where competitors get tested, but do not want to deface the front of large audience crowded the roadside.
